Yesterday, without any prompting, Alison returned my battered copy of Zen. Funny how things can work out. She gave it back at a potluck/meeting we were having at her house last night. I made eggplant parmesan from a recipe I got out of the Moosewood Cookbook, and it was quite well received. Fred, who is at the moment recovering from a fear of tomatoes, said that it converted him into an eggplant eater.
