Mmm hmmm, yeah, um, shut up
Do we all have something that we talk about too much whether we realize it or not? I probably say more about my dog than my friends care to hear. I feel the need to talk about vibrators (mine in particular) whenever girls I know complain about not getting any, or even mention masturbation. When I see someone canvassing for a non-profit I mention my own brief PIRG canvassing stint to whoever I'm with. Those are just the ones that I've noticed myself, so I'm wondering what I haven't noticed.

Comments:
No, it's true, we do. And we also think others care more about us than they really do. It's not obnoxious, it's human--within reason. We're all searching for connection, thirsty to be understood. Which is why the best way to start any relationship is to simply say, "How was your day?"
