Another enforcer
I'm an aggressive pedestrian. I don't give cars the right of way if they don't deserve it at stop signs, I hit or bang my fist on cars that stop inside the crosswalk lines, I slap the backs of cars that do quick turns in front of me, and I'm not shy about gesturing rudely or yelling at drivers. Friends have pointed out that if it came down to a battle between my 5'7" body and an SUV that I wouldn't stand much of a chance, but I'm careful enough.
Anyway, as I was walking back to my office this morning after running an errand I heard a loud noise near an intersection, and turned around to see a little old man gesturing at the driver of some large car that had pulled in front of him as he was crossing the street on a walk signal. He had given the car a well-deserved smack, made the driver well aware of her transgression, and continued on his way. I'm glad that I'm not the only one.
