Sick

Being sick and staying home used to be kind of a treat when I was a kid. Mom or Dad would make me a comfy bed on the couch so I could watch TV, I'd read books, they'd bring me food and would just baby me. The special treatment almost made up for the sick part.

Being sick as an adult just sucks. I'm impatient to get better, and I keep pushing myself to go to school or work and then end up feeling worse than before. Getting behind in my schoolwork is a bigger deal now than it was in elementary school, and I feel bad for missing work. And while I have some lovely friends who have been very kind to me, there's nothing like a parent.

I agree. And even worse, you have to make your own couch bed, so you can read for class and not fall behind on your school work. Parents are indeed something else.
Feel better kiddo!

Your boyfriend is doing the best he can! :-p He tried to take you to a movie; and bring you assorted goodies (dvds, food, cidar and medicine). But alas, tis true a substitute for a parent he is not... - Steve-o

Make her some chicken soup! :)

Steve, you could try to do what Chandler did when Monica was sick on Friends... But, then, you'd surely get sick too. http://www.friends-tv.org/zz613.html

Oh, Eliina - Feel better! Snuggle up with Henry and give yourself one good day off to rest.

Sending hugs and chicken soup your way - xoxtmtc
