Some new things that I've done in 2005
There weren't many people at work today, and since they were all off because of the impending new year, I paused and thought back on the year, thinking of notable things I had done or experienced. Very few of these are earth-shattering, but it feels good to know that there are many new experiences out there to be had. It helps fight the feeling that life is dull and routine.
So...here are a few new things that I did in 2005
- lived in my own apartment (no roommates except for the dog!)
- joined a knitting group
- started law school
- learned to snowboard in Breckenridge
- got a digital camera and started having tons of fun on flickr
- met an interesting guy at the dog park this summer and fell in love with him
- was given an surprise birthday party that I just about ruined
- rode in Critical Mass two months in a row
- ordered copies of my credit report
- ushered at some cool theatres
- made some great new friends
- was in the wedding of a high school friend
- bought and used a filing cabinet (this is a big step for disorganized me)
- started working as a domestic violence court advocate
- finally had a boss that i liked
- went to court many times
- pushed someone in order to get to my train
- had dinner at a police station
- cried inside a museum (I remember this because I got a phone call saying my aunt and uncle were adopting another baby that day)
