And the school part...
As my classmates back at DePaul are slaving away studying for their summer school finals I'm...doing something that vaguely resembles law school. All the trappings are there: big reading assignments, daily classes, and an unfortunate thing called an attendance sheet, but it doesn't quite fele real. It isn't that the subjects are interesting: I'm loving all of the comparative and international law. It could be the 10 ft. tall windows that look out onto the Alps. It could be the fact that only my credits, not my grades, will transfer back to my own university. Or the fact that the classes are so short. My one-credit class only lasted 2.5 weeks and I've already taken a final.
I'm not being a complete slacker though. I stayed in two nights ago to get ahead in my reading. But...I only did that because I had canyoning plans right after class yesterday, and wasn't likely to have time to read. After jumping off of waterfalls, rappelling down cliffs, and hiking through a forest, I wasn't in the mood to read. Or maybe it was the Schnapps our guides brought along to warm us up afterwards.
