Unencumbered

As I walked down the street to 7-11 to buy some Gatorade on Saturday morning, I realized how infrequently I leave the house carrying so little. I had only my wallet and my keys in the pockets of my coat. No laptop. No purse. No dog on a leash in front of me. Not even my cell phone. I felt light, and remembered the pleasure of just walking.

Comments:
This makes me cry... hard... inside... because I am so detached from that pleasure, it's not even funny. The little things in life we hardly notice, are the most important sometimes. Mmmm, walking without a laptop, what's that like?

Hmmmm...I wonder why we were looking for Gatorade!? ;-)

Someday soon Dima, you'll be done with school and won't need to constantly carry your laptop around. Right? That's what I'm hoping for.

As for the Gatorade, I'll let you draw your own conclusions. :)
