Brownie points

If you're dating my roommate and you want my approval---well, be nice to her---I'll like you as long as she does. But if you want to completely charm me, make friends with the dog. Chase him around the apartment, pet him, talk to him, wipe boogers out of his eyes with a tissue, and take a bandanna that you were wearing and tie it around the dog's neck. Yup, that'll do it.
