I wish I had a better memory
Sometimes a lapse in memory can be a blessing, after all, who wants to retain a crystal clear memory of past embarrassments? I do wish I had a better long-term memory for facts. I'm fantastic at memorizing case names and rules and facts in preparation for exams, but one year later, two years later, I find that I've forgotten a lot of what I've learned in school. We spent about half a semester studying the Commerce Clause in my Constitutional Law class, but off the top of my head in this moment, I could probably only name half a dozen cases. Among the ones I can remember are the most important and the most recent decisions, and I could easily go refresh my memory as to the other cases I've read, but...part of me still wishes that they were all catalogued in my mind.
