Thanks Laura
Laura tagged me. I don't normally do these things, but I'm sitting at my parents' house right now, trying to write a paper, so here goes.
The rules: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog post with ten random facts, habits, or goals about yourself. At the end, choose ten people to tag, listing their names and why you chose them; don't forget to leave a comment on their page letting them know "tag you're it". You cannot tag the original person who tagged you.
And in Laura style...counting down from 10.
10. Both my first and last names are difficult to spell and pronounce. That probably isn't news to anyone who knows me, but this may be...
9. I like the fact that my names are difficult to spell and pronounce. It was annoying growing up (I honestly have relatives who have known me since birth who say and spell them wrong), but now I find it amusing. Would I have the same personality if I grew up with a name like Jenny Smith? Maybe not.
8. I have an adorable 4 1/2 year old dog named Henry. A hundred or so photos of him are here.
7. I ran the Chicago Marathon in 2003, and my big goal for the summer of 2008 is to train for . . . the Chicago Half Marathon! Yeah, the half is way more fun, and doesn't take over your life the way training for a full marathon does.
6. Oh wait, and my other goal for next summer is to pass the bar exam. Probably more important than a 13.1 mile race.
5. My Mom asked my Dad and I to climb into the garage attic today to bring down Christmas decorations. I dug my high school letter jacket out of the closet before going into the freezing cold garage. Wow, that thing is ridiculous and awesome at the same time. I will not be taking photos in it. Maybe in another 10 years.
4. I was a big science fiction fan in high school. You saw that one coming right?
3. My hair right now is the longest it's been in 9 years, and it's kind of fun. However, having spent the past almost decade without needing to use blowdryers or any product besides a little pomade, I'm kind of inept at that whole styling thing. So I'm rocking pigtails whenever possible these days.
2. I'm a Luddite when it comes to new cell phone technology. I've had the same phone at least three years if not four, and I'm not going to get a new one until this dies. My phone company gives me a new phone every two years, but I just don't want one. This is not true when it comes to other gadgets though, just phones.
1. I have an okay singing voice, but you're never going to get to hear it. Unless you live with me and hear me singing songs to the dog in the kitchen, or we're drinking and listening to music.
Okay, I'm not going to tag ten people, but here are a few: Lindsay because I'm sure she'll have ten funny and charming things to write, Jess because it will give her the excuse to blog that I'm sure she's been looking for, Dana because this is way more fun than outlining evidence, and Kula (who may have done this already, I don't remember) because you never know what's going to come out of her mouth. :)

OK, I did it, but only because I have not had much to blog about lately. You obviously hate me, that's why your tagged me. I think I practiced some self-restraint and didn't say anything too outrageous! Happy? :)
