Josh is seven years older than me, and we've found that there are certain areas where our pop cultural knowledge does not overlap. The gaps are usually on my end and often involve the 80's and early 90's, because those were my childhood years rather than my teen years. This weekend we were discussing Miami Vice, a show that I never watched, but which apparently was influential to the style of young Josh circa 1985. When he said this, I was like, you're kidding right? You were wearing white jackets when you were 12? He replied "You should see my bar mitzvah pictures. White jacket with sleeves you could roll part way up, paisley tie, broad-brimmed hat." Oh man, I cannot wait to see those photos.
