Evacuated

Security guards walked into my Wills & Trusts class earlier this evening and announced that the building was being evacuated. Eighty laptops snapped shut, and we walked down the 9 flights of stairs to street level. Cops had blocked off Jackson from State eastward, and Dearborn was also closed. The Barnes & Noble next door was still open, but there were firetrucks and police cars surrounding the Dirksen Federal Building. The Jackson blue line CTA stop was closed, and no one was giving out any answers.

NBC5 helped me out. DePaul? Bomb threat. Dirksen Building? Suspicious object.

What a week for things going wrong.

Update: No bombs found.
