Well, life is more than a little crazy right now, which may be why I've dreaded the sight of the computer lately. Even now that it has a new keyboard where I can type "a" and "c" without pounding on those keys five times. The doctor who gave my dad a colonscopy last Wednesday is 95% sure that the mass that he found is cancer. What does this mean? It means that he's having a CAT scan tomorrow and is meeting with a surgeon on Tuesday. It means that people in my house have been crying every day. It means that my dad's 7 siblings are all heading to the doctor to get their own delightfully fun colonoscopys. It means that we've had a lot of family time lately; gardening and walks and cooking and church and the five of us watching a movie in mom and dad's room instead of the living room because it was cozy and nice.
I'm pretty scared and worried but for some reason I've been able to seem outwardly calm, which my family has appreciated. I've been doing the dishes, doing grocery shopping, doing laundry, helping out with the family business.
