Just a few clouds
I had a refreshing day away from work today. I so enjoyed my run this morning that for the first time since doing the 2003 Chicago Marathon, I'm considering training for it again. (So I can be, as Amanda says, a marathon runner, not just someone who ran one marathon.) I went into Women and Children First looking for some interesting new fiction, and instead walked out with a memoir in the form of a graphic novel, Persepolis, which I've been loving so far. Lindsay and Kirk arrived at the Hideout for Funny HaHa II before I did and saved me a seat, which was lucky because the place was packed (and it was a great show). Still, the thought of being back at work the next day was kind of hanging over my head, and I didn't feel quite...right. I think I need a real vacation sometime soon.

Yo - I've been eyeing Persepolis for a while and your post inspired me to buy it yesterday when I saw it at the bookstore. Half way through and loving it! - Tara

Yay, so glad that you did. I mentioned it to a friend of mine at work (who is Iranian), and she offered to lend me the second volume. I may just buy it for myself though, so I'll have it to read over again and lend out.
