Our own internet cafe

We chose the bedroom off of the kitchen in our three-bedroom flat to be the office because, well, it's right off the kitchen. We both grind coffee in the morning and listen to NPR on the kitchen radio, so it just made sense to not have one of us sleeping right by that early morning source of noise. However, the position of the office has created a slight problem with our wireless network. It doesn't reach the living room. It works perfectly in the office, in the kitchen, and likely in the bathroom, but doesn't reach the very front of our place. I'm sure there are solutions to this problem, but we don't have time to find them. My temporary solution is to stand at the kitchen island when I need the internet but don't want to take the time to clear off my desk in the office. It's like our own private internet cafe.

Comments:
That would make sense, but it would involve either running the cable down the hall or getting the cable company to set up the connection in a different room. And we're lazy. I don't know why the wireless doesn't reach. Maybe the walls are thick. Linz and I used to live on different floors of the same building and shared a wireless connection through the floor. Meh.

You know you can purchase wireless network extenders that are also wireless. They are basically just a more powerful antenna. Just google "Wireless Network Extenders."
