I'm afraid that I'm just not that original

Within the next week I need to come up with a topic for my law review note or comment. The editors emphasized that we need to pick a topic that fascinates us, since we'll be working on our paper for the next six months or so. If I just had to pick any interesting legal issue and write on it, that would be easy. The trick is finding something that someone else hasn't already written on, or at least an angle that no one else has done. I've got a few ideas, but I'm concerned that they won't pass my preemption check. We'll see, won't we?
