As we pulled into Wilson (the stop for Truman College)

My favorite el conductor: Ladies and gentlemen, you are riding the blessed train, and the blessed train is the best train. Remember to make the most of your education, it'll take you far. Please make sure you have all of your personal belongings. Stay warm and have a blessed day!

(For non-el riding readers, positive commentary from your el conductor is unusual. Normally an automated voice announces the stop and the side on which the doors open, and the conductor only speaks up to yell at people for blocking the doors, or for not letting people out.)

Comments:
There's a very friendly conductor that I get to hear on the Brown line every once in a while. Makes all the grumpy people in the morning smile. He even says: "I'll see you all in the afternoon, have a great day at work!"
I think all the conductors should be like that all the time :)
