Oh wait, I don't really speak German

The excellent subtitles in foreign language films often make me feel like I'm actually understanding what the actors are saying. Didn't you feel like you could speak Mandarin after watching Crouching Tiger, or French after viewing Amelie?

When I'm packing I like to have a familiar movie playing the background. I can walk around the house and listen to it, and run to the screen to watch favorite scenes. If I pack for the whole length of the movie I feel like I've accomplished something, even if the apartment is still a disaster. Tonight I grabbed the nearest box of DVDs and saw Good bye Lenin! on top. Ooh, I haven't watched that one in a while. Wait...not really a good one to listen to from another room.

So...You really take two hours to pack? I hope this is in reference to moving and not for a trip. Because if it's for a trip, that's a weak-ass packing time. I like to be done in about 10 minutes. This gives me plenty of time to think about what I've forgotten to hurriedly pack whilst actually watching the movie.
