Time for a redesign?

I know, I know, you all love my weird, green, 2/3 screen, archives-missing-since-new-Blogger set-up here. But...I've realized recently that I've had this thing since spring of 2003. I've changed since then, but I haven't bothered to change my blog layout. Here are my reasons:

1. I hate all of the generic templates offered by Blogger
2. You know me, and you know that I'm lacking in the techie skills necessary to make one of my own.
3. I don't know enough about any of the other hosting options to know where I'd rather be than Blogger.

So...suggestions please. I promise a redesign before my 5th blogiversary.

SixApart offers several blog software options, one of which is the one used most, which is MovableType. From your post, I gather that you need a WYSIWYG, so how about one of their other products: Livejournal.com is one: http://www.livejournal.com/ You get to choose from a lot of decent templates or tinker with it yourself.

Now, there's also TypePad, which I'm not all too familiar with (although I think they also offer a WYSIWYG interface with templates to choose. This is the link to the trial version: https://www.typepad.com/t/app/register ).
