Garden Update

Yes, we had snow here in Chicago last night, and our last frost date is at least a month away, but progress is being made on the garden-to-be. Tara as the owner of yard where the garden will be growing is taking the lead and setting our growing schedule. This is good because I have exams in a month and if I were in charge of paying attention to when things needed to be planted, we wouldn't be getting any tomatoes until October. She and I are both trying to sprout some seeds indoors so they'll be ready to transfer into the ground in late May.

Here's what I've got sprouting (hopefully) in my front window:

Sweet Genovese Basil
Purple Dark Opal Basil
Italian Heirloom Tomato
Red Fig Tomato
Cherokee Purple Tomato
Broad Ripple Yellow Currant Tomato
Gold Medal Tomato
Siberian Tomato

More to come as the season continues!
